The Museum of Broadway has teamed up with internationally renowned artists, designers, and theatre historians to create an interactive experience that highlights groundbreaking moments in Broadway’s history - the moments that pushed creative boundaries, challenged social norms, and paved the way for those who would follow.

Travel through the timeline of Broadway from its birth to present day, where we highlight theater’s pioneers, socially progressive moments and some of the most beloved plays and musicals of all time. Experience the history and migration of New York City’s theaters through immersive video projections, from the financial district to Union Square and Herald Square to modern-day Times Square. Go inside some of the most momentous musicals to change the landscape and trajectory of Broadway through installations designed by leading contemporary visual artists and Broadway designers. Go behind the curtain into the making of a Broadway show with a special exhibit honoring the community of brilliantly talented professionals – both onstage and off – who bring Broadway plays and musicals to life every night.
